The story of AIESEC Day

Once upon a time there was a Tuesday the 7th of March. A bunch of happy AIESECers held something called AIESEC Day in the quad at uni. After being screwed over because of double booking of the quad, they pulled themselves together and launched Plan B. Some happy souls started the day bright and early with chalking. Others took words in their mounth and lecture bashed, before others took flyers in their hands and handed them out.

While the BBQ was running from lunch time, they had a 'cozy corner' were the happy AIESECers answered questions from the public.

After SJS was finished with the PA system they launched their secret weapon; the pub quiz. It was only room for a certain amount of people, they had to turn down some people wanting to play their wonderful game. Dominos and Pepsi was on board as well, making the PQ successfull (and of course, it had to be some Norwegians that won!!!!!!)

After meta-cogniting in the office they discovered that they had made a profit from the BBQ, hurray!

The AIESEC Day OCP was really happy after the event and wanted to say THANK YOU for all your help, you are wonderful :)

LC Meeting - 28/02/06

At last Tuesday's LC Meeting we revisited the Strategic Triangle on the ground, and we all realised how much there is to do to get everyone up to speed. So LCWA is going to be lots of fun - with a majority of the sessions dedicated to the Strategic Triangle. So by the end of the weekend you all should know everything and anything to do with this triangle. Next, we focused on the Culture of Excellence and how our first step towards this is the use of Competency Frameworks and Performance Appraisals. 360 Feedback forms will be filled in at LCWA. How exciting! Feedback really is an incredible gift.

AIESEC Day is this upcoming Monday. This is shaping up to be quite an event. Free Pizza and V, Ethnic dancing, the Cozy corner. Make sure you volunteer to help out as we'll definetly need all the help we can get.

Recruitment: We still need a lot more people helping out with recruitment. Chalking - meet every morning in front of the AIESEC office at 6:55am, Helping out at stalls from 10am - 4pm, and lecture bashing from 8am - 5pm. A BIG thank you to the people who have been helping out all week.
