ICX Bonding Event II

... Since no one's posted on it yet... I'll post! =D

ICX Team Bonding Event was a HUGE SUCCESS!!! well mainly because it wasn't so much an ICX thing... we had interns, alumni and even a CORPORATE =D So it was a blast of an LC event!

First event of the day was PAINTBALL! We started somewhere out West in Henderson/ Swanson at about 12pm.

Team Members:

ICX-
-Andrea-Edris-Genevieve-Jan-Ladi-Levent-Phillip-Ying-Johnny (volunteered)-

OGX+PD-
-Christina-Don-Esther-Euni-Francesca-Franklin-Mialy-Pang Sheen-Tatiana-

It was great fun especially the huge bruises we sustained which are our trophies!
We still had great bright smiles on our faces even after the game =p

We headed off to lunch next (about 2pm), still somewhere out west, recommended by Ying.
We sat down at a nearby park to enjoy the sun grass and... oh yes the food! =p

After food, we chilled out a little and Ladi told us about this interesting fact.
There were about 16 of us, and among us we represented more than 8 countries.
And the sound that the people of each country makes of an animal can sound pretty different.
For instance - dog - for the kiwis it was "WOOF!"
So the Singaporeans it was "ROUUFFF!"
It was especially funny when the kiwi reps Andrea & Ying + Singaporeans Genevieve & I made the same sounds in unison!
Ok... it doesn't sound that fun when I'm writing it... sorry =p

Not too long after lunch settled, 2 balls emerged. Oh what I meant was Levent bought a football and Johnny brought his touch rugby ball, and we had a ball of a time.
We had 2 balls in play at any one time, and hell it was dangerous! Not only just looking out for the ball that might be heading in your direction but also because it went out of play and onto the busy street so often!

Seriously! Someone would have gotten killed if not for our superhuman skills at looking out for cars coming round the bend & dodging balls =p =p

At about 4ish, Ying took half of us to a nearby little shop that sold really cheap and yummy sundaes! We had our fill there and headed back to the group at the grass at 6.

By then, it was getting a little chilly, and people were tired... so we decided to head home...

It was a fun-filled enjoyable day.
To the people who missed out, don't worry, I guarantee another ICX team bonding event next year =p
To the people who went - thanks for making it such an awesome event!
To my ICX team - YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST!
To Levent - thanks so much for organising and making it happen =)

Cheers,
Edris

AUCKLAND WON THE GOBO !!!

Woooohoooo NZLDS was one was the bestest AIESEC conferences I've been to (although I've only been to 2 hehe ~ not counting forums)

It's also one of the craziest conferences I've been to haha!
We had a whole bunch of AIESECers from the 4 different LCs at Base Backpackers... gosh...there was at least one AIESECer on every floor!

We had a 'weird group' of AIESECers staying up all night singing Spice girls' songs !!! ...candle light and soul forever, the dream of u& me 2gether.... YOO tell me what u want what u really really want...I'll tell you...ZIGAZIAHHH" OKIE! I'll shut up now! and we were reallllly LOUD too!!! tsk tsk tsk...immature :-D

We had people scoring, doing a bit more than that, some trying to score, some caught in bed doing hhhmmmmm..... and so yeah....INTERESTING!!! very interesting!!!

Those are just the fun side of LDS...but during the day, we worked very hard...the senior members were taught about leadership, we had different simulations
The newbies were taught about induction...
so yay!!! LDS was cool!

What makes it better is that we...AUCKLAND JAFAS... won the GOBO!!! yeah... that makes us the "most outrageous and hardworking Local Committee" ... R.E.S.P.E.C.T hehe
Big thanks to our chief delegates...lil newbie babies but have achieved so much! awwww...so proud of u guys!!!
Big thanks to the whole Auckland delegation for working as a team and yay! we came back home with the Gobo! and the knob

Big thanks to the OC, DT, other LCs for making it one of the best conferences ever!

ohhh and I won the knob :-D hehehehe
